Melanoma: Cells are more pleomorphic, there are mitotic figures, necrosis, and often a lymphocytic inflammatory infiltrate (see B1). Melanoma commonly has an intraepidermal (junctional) component (see B2), whereas cellular blue nevi typically do not (see A2).
